Venkaiah Naidu Targets P Chidambaram, Hopes For GST In Budget Session



Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday rejected Congress pioneer P Chidambaram's comments reprimanding Government for the logjam on Goods and Services Tax or GST Bill and affirmed that Congress was "dodgy" on this issue according to its "script".

"I was shocked the remarks of Chidambaram http://connect.syracuse.com/user/jntussworld/index.htmlyesterday when he said that the economy is stuck in a notch and reprimanded the legislature for stand off on GST," he said.

"As Parliamentary Affairs Minister, I might want to emphatically disprove Chidambaram's charge reprimanding the legislature for standoff on GST," Mr Naidu said.

While declining to go into subtle elements of his collaborations with senior Congress pioneers occasionally on the GST issue, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister claimed, "All that I can affirm with all obligation is that Congress party ardently denied from its pre-Winter session script of not permitting GST Bill to be passed, come what might."
