Previous Myanmar military ruler Than Shwe 'bolsters new pioneer'

Myanmar's previous military ruler sees http://z4root.tumblr.com/recent enemy Aung San Suu Kyi as the nation's "future pioneer" and has swore support for her in a mystery meeting, the general's grandson said.

Points of interest of Friday's meeting between the two was uncovered by General Than Shwe's grandson, who went about as go-between.

He said in a Facebook post the meeting had endured over two hours.

Ms Suu Kyi drove her National League for Democracy (NLD) gathering to an avalanche decision triumph in October.

The race was the first transparently challenged general decision in Myanmar (otherwise called Burma) in 25 years.

The BBC's Jonah Fisher in Myanmar says 80-year-old General Than Shwe, who headed the nation's military junta until he ventured down in 2011, still wields gigantic impact.

His grandson Nay Shwe Thway Aung cited him as having said in the meeting: "reality she will end up being the future pioneer of the nation," and "I will bolster her with the greater part of my endeavors".

t's not clear whether General Shwe's http://z4root.soup.io/ remarks add up to a promise to help Ms Suu Kyi change the condition of the constitution that banishes her from getting to be president in light of the fact that she has outside kids.

The most recent week has seen talks between all Myanmar's key players.

One point on the table was the prickly question of who turns into Myanmar's next president.

Mrs Suu Kyi has already told the BBC she would discover a president as required, yet "that won't prevent me from settling on every one of the choices as the pioneer of the triumphant party".
